Southern Challenge
And here's the Southern Challenge! This one's fairly quick (thank goodness!) - between June and August read 3 books by Southern authors with Southern settings. I love Southern lit, so I was game. 2 of the books were already on my to be read list, anyway!

Have you read Miss Julia before? It's new to me and I love finding new series to read.
I remember reading Bruno and Boots in grade 5, the year it came out. Korman is Canadian and I was a devoted fan for many years. I Want to Go Home is probably my favorite. I got my 9 year old hooked on Korman too!
Raidergirl - Nope, it was new to me. I had recently read something that mentioned the books, but hadn't gotten to them yet. I was in about grade 5 myself, maybe 4. I Want to Go Home is my fave, too -we we started doing a kids' book club at my library I picked my favourites to start with and I think it was the 2nd one we did. The first was The Phantom Tollbooth.
So glad you joined the Southern Reading Challenge! I'm also reading Newberys and was surprised to find Kira-Kira set in the south.
I like Nattie's challenge, 'cos it is so simple to do and I feel like I've actually accomplished some reading; 4 read in May. ;)
